Land of Lincoln

The day started out in Farmington MO,  a reasonable sized town.  The route continued up and down, but the hills were not a large.  Here's an example of the views



After more hills, the route drops down into the Mississippi flood plane. It felt good to leave the Ozarks in my rear view.  After a short further time,  The route crosses into Chester IL, the home of  Popeye.

We are camping in Randolph State Recreation Area about 4 miles north of town.  

We will be in Illinois tomorrow, and the day after crossing the Ohio river into Kentucky. (My picture of the Illinois State sign didn't turn out.  I'll try again tomorrow)
